Tooth Extractions and Pulling Teeth

Although Dr. Walters will always try to avoid pulling teeth, there are times when extraction is unavoidable, including:

Excess trauma or decay
Loose teeth
Bone loss
Overcrowding
Infection
Periodontal disease

If extraction is needed, we’ll carefully review your medical history to make sure you are able to weather the procedure and the antibiotics that follow. If the tooth is impacted, surgery may be required.

Does tooth extraction hurt?

You won’t feel a thing! We’ll use the most effective anesthetics to ensure the procedure is pain-free for you.

How much does tooth extraction cost?

Extraction costs depend on certain variables such as: insurance coverage, the location of the tooth, the amount of anesthesia needed, and whether the tooth is impacted or erupted. We will review costs with you to give you an estimate before the procedure.

Of course, as with any procedure, we will discuss your treatment plan with you to determine the best course of action.

After Extraction
We have many treatment options for replacing extracted teeth, including dental implants, full and partial dentures, and bridges. We will discuss your options before extracting your teeth so that you can get your winning and healthy smile back quickly.
